The Alzheimer’s Association is working towards ending Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. This chapter serves people who live in Santa Cruz County and offers resource information and referral, care coordination, support groups, lending library, educational workshops and annual conferences. They have staff that speak English and Spanish. The office is wheelchair accessible, however, they do not take walk in’s, please call to schedule an appointment.
The Alzheimer’s Association website is a rich resource designed to inform and educate multiple audiences, including those living with the disease, caregivers, volunteers and professional health care providers. Their content covers everything from the basics of Alzheimer’s to support groups to global research efforts.
