COMPANION FOR LIFE PROJECT
About Us
The goal of the Companion for Life Project is to provide a community-based personal emergency response system (PERS) at the lowest feasible cost to any at-risk individual who desires swift emergency response in the event of a medical incident such as a hard fall or experiencing debilitating pain. This service provides continuous emotional support to at-risk older adults or disabled individuals living in their homes by improving their safety and a sense of well-being. It also provides family and friends with peace of mind.
An emergency response system connects an individual who has fallen, or finds themselves incapacitated, to emergency services, or a family member, or a friend with a simple press of a button. Through the use of their personal help button, which can be worn as a bracelet or as an adjustable necklace, the person will be able to communicate their needs directly to the Monitoring Center via an intercom.
