Their mission is to preserve and restore the gift of sight by providing free ophthalmic examinations, operations, and medication to the less fortunate members of the community. They don’t provide assistance for contacts or glasses. To be eligible for assistance from the foundation you must: not have insurance, have lived in an area they serve for more than one year, meet their income requirements listed on their website and get  a referral from a doctor stating the diagnosis.
